Step into the role of Community-Based Researcher Project Lead with the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government. This position focuses on leading community engagement and fostering research for pivotal projects.
Accountable to the Executive Office, this fixed-term role includes responsibility for crucial initiatives like the Listuguj Land Code, supporting Indigenous governance models. You’ll do this by facilitating community involvement, performing necessary research, and generating materials to enhance understanding and participation among Listuguj community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of workplans and track project progress
• Engage with the community for feedback and insights
• Support efforts to establish co-governance initiatives
• Conduct and analyze community outreach activities
• Prepare reports and knowledge products for decision-making
Requirements:
• Degree or experience in research, Indigenous studies, or governance
• Familiarity with conducting community research and strategy development
• Solid facilitation and communication abilities for reporting
• Proficient in managing project timelines and deliverables
• Knowledge of Mi’gmaw culture or language is considered an asset
