This position, based in one of Canada’s top law firms, requires a Master’s degree in Library Science and at least two years of law library experience. You'll guide team members on research methodologies, develop training materials, and monitor legal developments. Your role will ensure effective research practices and the use of advanced tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide complex legal research to lawyers and staff
• Develop and lead research training sessions for students
• Monitor media, case law, and legislation updates
• Evaluate and recommend new research tools and resources
• Maintain and enhance library content on intranet
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent
• Minimum two years experience in a law library
• Proficient in legal research platforms like Westlaw and Lexis+
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
