Loading , transporting , and delivering items in a protected andtimely manner to clients or businesses.
Orders are reviewedbefore and after delivery to ensure that they are complete, thatthe charges are correct, and that the customer issatisfied.
Assisting with theloading and unloading of vehicles.
Accepting payments for goodsdelivered.
Providing excellentcustomer service, answering questions, and dealing with clientcomplaints.
Following timetablesand adhering to assigned routes .
Following alltransportation laws and maintaining a clean drivingrecord.
Creating reports andother delivery-related documents .
Operating vehicles and machinessuch as cars, trucks, forklifts, and so on.
Collecting and deliveringparcels and packages from the central depot to specificaddresses specified in the dispatch officer’s deliveryinstructions.
Route planning to maximizeefficiency and deliver parcels on time.
Address verificationis being carried out prior to delivery.
Preventing packagedamage or loss during transit .
Obtaining signedreceipts and delivery confirmation .
Collecting payments asneeded.
Communication withthe dispatch officer, receipt of new deliveryinstructions, and status updates




Keeping accuratepaper or electronic records of parceldeliveries .
Requirements High school diploma orits equivalent is required.
Valid driver’slicense.
Certain vehicles maynecessitate the use of a special license.
Experience may or maynot be required.
Availability tofollow assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, andtransportation laws.
Excellent time management andcustomer service abilities.
Ability to walk, drive, lift,and carry heavy objects for an extended period oftime.
