DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of off-road construction equipment, on-highway tractor-trailers, light vehicles, small/medium diesel equipment, and off-highway vehicles not limited to:

Frame, steering andsuspension systems – light duty, truck and transport & off-road.

Hydraulic & air brake systems

Power train systems – truck and transport & off-road

Air conditioning systems

Vehicle electric diagnosis and failure analysis

Electronic and electrical systems

Hydraulics Engines – including diesel fuel injection.

Charging & cranking systems

Use of Diesel Diagnostic Software.

Working on all makes/models of construction support equipment.

Complete daily paperwork and participate in toolbox talks.

Promote, execute,



and adhere to the company’s safety program.

Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.

Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Robust mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.

Excellent problem-solving skills required.

Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.

Successful candidates are required to have valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.

Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.

Must be able to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Trade Requirements

Journeyperson certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal if out of Province).

Valid Class 5 Driver's License & Clean Abstract.

Position Information

Located in Kitimat, BC

Day Shift Position

14/7 Rotation Schedule and 20/8 (For Eastern Province Candidates Only)

Flights Provided from Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Hamilton, Kelowna, Moncton, Montreal, Nanaimo, Prince George, Regina, St. Johns, Vancouver, Victoria, and Winnipeg.

Transportation for Local Residents Available.

Provided accommodation with a daily per diem
