Join the Region of Durham as a full time Works Technician focused on water and wastewater operations in Whitby. This role demands expertise in maintaining compliance and analyzing water quality data.

As an integral part of the Water Resource Monitoring and Protection team, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of wastewater and water treatment facilities. Your responsibilities will include compiling regulatory reports, conducting quality analyses, and troubleshooting operational process issues. Engage with the community through effective communication and public relations efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in operations at treatment facilities
• Complete records to comply with regulations




• Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analyses
• Support team training and instruction
• Handle customer inquiries related to water quality

Requirements:
• Diploma in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering Technology
• O.A.C.E.T.T. registration eligibility
• Class 1 Water/Wastewater Certificate or WQA certification
• One year of work-related experience required
• Valid Driver's Abstract needed
