Become an integral part of Stitó:sLá:lém Totí:lt Elementary/Middle School as a Full-Time Inclusion Teacher. This temporary position focuses on supporting students with diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Effective September 1, 2026, this role is designed for experienced educators who can implement the Ministry of Education's teaching practices and assessment strategies. Candidates should possess extensive qualifications in diverse curriculum adaptations and have a solid commitment to building relationships within the school community. The role emphasizes collaboration with staff and parents to foster a nurturing educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement inclusive teaching practices for diverse learners
• Coordinate with the School Based Team to support students
• Develop and evaluate competency-based IEPs with stakeholders
• Conduct assessments including curriculum-based and diagnostic methods
• Create balanced literacy and numeracy programs for targeted instruction
Requirements:
• Extensive training in teaching and special education
• Proven experience with SEL and trauma-informed strategies
• Ability to motivate students requiring additional support
• Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support initiatives
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
