Who We Are Kichton Construction LP is the Fort McMurray based Heavy Civil entity within the Kichton Group of companies which has been operating since 1963. Kichton Construction LP commenced operations in 2019 as the industrial division of the Kichton Group to serve the Energy and Mining Industries throughout North America. Since inception, KCLP has grown sustainably and exponentially, starting with 30 experienced team members in 2019, to now over 400 team members and over 300 pieces of heavy equipment. KCLP is proud to continue operating alongside our Community Partner, the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation, as part of our NOHA/Kichton Joint-Venture.
The Role We are seeking a full-time Dozer Operator's to work in the Fort McMurry area. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 plus years' experience working Dozer in the Oilsands.
Location/Job Details Site: Fort Hills
Schedule: 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours). 14 days on, 7 off. 14 nights on, 7 off.
Accommodations: Camp accommodation is provided.
Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to the site (before and after rotation).
Overtime: After 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours in a week
What You’ll Be Doing Operate D9 - D11 Dozers and various sizes and models of Dozers required to complete assigned work
This position involves ripping above the shovel and supporting shovels out at the site as requested
Read stakes and be able to place a grade as needed
Ensure compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies,
operating standards, and procedures
Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE
Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment before job commencement and follow all requirements
Complete equipment/ area walk-arounds, safety checks, and field-level risk assessments, and ensure all equipment is running properly
Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately
Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately
Compensation/Benefits OT after 8 hours per day.
$2.00 per hour increase after 90 days, subject to a successful performance review.
9.6% Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay on all regular hours paid out bi-weekly.

Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating Dozers D9 to D11
Willing and able to work in soft ground conditions (Muskeg) and rip frost above shovels
Minimum one year of experience in a mining atmosphere preferred
Familiar and comfortable working in a production environment
Must be able to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation
A safety-first attitude
Attentive and possess solid listening skills
Be proficient in English, both verbally and in writing
Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
