Fitsand installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware,interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob,and laser levels.
Erectsscaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above groundlevels.
Studiesspecifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans toprepare project layout and determine dimensions and materialsrequired.
Shapesor cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools,machines, or power saws.
Followsestablished safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safeand clean environment.
Buildsor repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other woodenfixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, handtools, or power tools.
Assemblesand fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using handtools and wood screws,



nails, dowel pins, or glue.
Removesdamaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repairor replace, using hand tools.
Inspectsceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, orwoodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
Movesnecessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
Requirements Provenexperience ascarpenter
Hands-onexperience in working with carpentrymaterials
Excellentunderstanding of carpentry techniques and methods ofinstallation and construction
Proficient inusing electrical and manual equipment andmeasurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulersetc.)
Ability to readtechnical documents and drawings
Willingness tofollow safety guidelines at all times
Good knowledge ofEnglish
Goodunderstanding of basic math
Positive physicalcondition and endurance
High schooldiploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeshipprogram is required
