Join the Kitimat Community Development Centre as a Child and Youth Care Worker to make a positive difference for children up to 19 years old. This permanent part-time role emphasizes family-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will engage with families and provide essential support for children through assessment and intervention. You will be integral in implementing service plans, writing reports, and sharing insights with the Program Manager. This position promotes flexibility for work/life balance while enjoying the beautiful Northern BC workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet with clients to execute service plans effectively
• Communicate with children, families, and the KCDC team
• Write reports and progress notes as required
• Consult with Program Manager on client developments
• Participate in service plan meetings as needed
Requirements:
• Certificate in Child and Youth Care or related field
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Basic First Aid certification
• Completion of Criminal Record Check
• Experience with neurodiverse youth and local cultures
