The Community Outreach Worker will engage with individuals lacking shelter, providing case management, advocacy, and crisis support. This term position in the Community Roots Program offers a 37.5-hour work week, Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to mental health awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct proactive outreach to locate individuals outdoors
• Create essential care kits with food and hygiene items
• Develop trust with individuals for program participation




• Facilitate connections to community services and resources
• Monitor client progress and adjust support plans as needed

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education required
• Minimum 2 years in addictions and mental health
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Experience with harm reduction strategies preferred
• Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
