The Woodland Wellness Centre is seeking a candidate who can effectively assist Elder/Cultural Advisors in various ceremonial and community activities. This role will involve closely working with treatment teams to support cultural education and health promotion, particularly through traditional knowledge. Experience with Woodland Cree culture is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Elder/Cultural Advisors in spiritual and ceremonial duties
• Assist in promoting and delivering health care services
• Organize cultural and community-based events
• Maintain supplies and cultural equipment
• Act as an interpreter for Cree-speaking clients
Requirements:
• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent necessary
• 1-2 years relevant experience in cultural practices
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transport
• Certification in WHMIS and First Aid/CPR
• Ability to understand and speak Cree preferred
