Inspecting theperformance of trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavyequipment.
Using computerized testing equipment to diagnose flaws.
Cleaning,lubricating, and performing routine maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles.
Cleaning andmaintenance of machine attachments such as winches, blades,and side booms.
When necessary,perform significant repair work.
Notifyingmanagement of damaged or faultyequipment.
Inspect andtroubleshoot equipment to detect faults andmalfunctions.
To determine therepair required, use computerized and other testing equipmentto diagnose defects or malfunctions.
Adjust theequipment and repair or replace any brokenparts.
Maintainmaintenance records anddocumentation.
Test repairedequipment to ensure proper operation and that work meetmanufacturer specifications.
Work on heavytrucks to repair them.
Working tools andservice attachments
Emission controlsystems must be tested and repaired.
Requirements GED or high schooldiploma
Heavy equipmentmechanic certification.
Knowledge ofcomputer testing technologies.
Possibility oflifting heavy machinery.
Expertise in dieselengines and construction equipment.
Ability to work after hours if necessary.
Excellentcommunication abilities.
