The role Working with the Technical Manager, this is a great opportunity for an individual who is reliable and dedicated to developing both their personal and professional skills. The successful applicant should have the ambition to become an expert in Gripple applications and have the desire to learn new skills.
The Building Services CAD Technicianwill support sales and safeguard best practices by:
Producing drawings, designs and technical project proposals using AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam software
Dealing with technical enquiries from customers either directly or via our sales team
Technical calculations and report writing to support the safe and efficient use of Gripple products
Working closely with our sales team to secure construction projects through design work
Utilizing our CRM database to manage projects and share information
Becoming an expert in Gripple applications
Identifying areas for improvement within Gripple’s processes and taking the initiative to work on them
What you will need To be considered for this position, you will have:
Higher education qualification in a STEM subject
Experience in the use of 2D or 3D CAD in a mechanical discipline
Competence with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
A clear and concise use of the English language, both written and spoken
A high level of numeracy to carry out basic design calculations
Attention to detail and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy
A desire to join a small team that is extremely ambitious, with the ability to be creative to resolve challenges
The right to live and work in Canada
The ability to work from our office in Oakville (4 days per week, 1 from home).
The following would be an advantage, though not necessary:
Knowledge of Canadian building codes and practices
Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical or electrical services
Full G driver’s license
