Join UBC as a Co-op Advisor and Industry Partner in the Faculty of Applied Science. This role includes advising students and managing co-op programs to enhance educational outcomes.
As a key player in the Applied Science Co-op Program, you will guide students through their co-op experiences. Responsibilities include collaborating with employers, evaluating student placements, and designing career readiness programs. You will offer essential coaching on job search strategies, monitor co-op work placements, and support students facing workplace challenges along their educational paths.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise co-op students individually and in groups
• Implement strategies for recruitment and program management
• Evaluate and analyze work placement experiences
• Facilitate career readiness workshops for students
• Build relationships with employers to enhance opportunities
Requirements:
• Significant experience in co-operative education or related fields
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid problem-solving abilities for workplace issues
• Knowledge of job coaching and career development
• Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks
