Economy Paving is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Water Truck Driver to join our field team. This position supports commercial and civil development projects by providing water for dust control, earthworks, subgrade compaction, aggregate placement, and asphalt paving operations.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a water truck on active construction sites and public roadways.
- Apply water to haul roads, work areas, stockpiles, subgrades, and aggregate surfaces.
- Support earthworks and paving crews by maintaining the moisture levels required for compaction.
- Fill the water truck from approved sources and monitor water usage throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, supervisors, equipment operators, and ground crews.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required driver documentation.
- Perform basic maintenance and promptly report equipment defects or mechanical concerns.
- Follow site traffic plans and operate safely around workers, heavy equipment, utilities, and the public.
- Follow all project safety, environmental, and quality-control requirements.
- Assist with general site duties when water truck operation is not required.

Qualifications
- Previous water truck or commercial driving experience in civil, earthworks,



or paving construction is preferred.
- Valid Class 3 driver’s licence with air-brake endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Knowledge of dust-control and soil-moisture requirements is considered an asset.
- Able to complete equipment inspections and identify basic maintenance concerns.
- Comfortable operating on uneven terrain and within active construction areas.
- Reliable, punctual, safety-focused, and able to follow directions.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with field crews.
- Construction safety training is considered an asset.

This is a field-based position involving outdoor work in changing weather conditions. Candidates must be available for early starts, extended hours, and occasional weekend work during peak construction periods. Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
