Set up and manage a varietyof social assistance programs and community services.
Providing care,support, and counseling to individuals dealing with issues such asadult daycare, substance abuse, human relationships, andrehabilitation.
Helping communities to shareknowledge and resources effectively.
Review client backgroundinformation, interview clients to obtain case history andprepare intake reports.
Assessing the different needsof a community and setting up resources to meet them.
Counsel clientsliving in group homes and halfway houses, supervise theiractivities and assist in pre-release and release planning.




Recruiting andtraining paid and voluntary staff.
Provide crisis interventionand emergency shelter services.
Attending meetings andpresenting verbal and written reports.
Requirements College, CEGEPor other non-university certificate or diploma from aprogram.
1-2 years of experience in related field.
Excellent writtenand oral communication skills, including report writing.
The ability towork both on your own and in a team.
Excellent listening skillsand confidence in talking to people both in groups and on aone-to-one basis.
Valuable leadership, motivationaland organizational skills.
