Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as an Outreach Worker in New Westminster, BC, where you’ll assist adults navigating housing and mental health challenges. This full time role emphasizes support and effective advocacy services.
As an Outreach Worker, you will report to the Designated Manager and focus on empowering adults with low or no income. Your role involves providing critical assistance, training in essential life skills, and crisis intervention to those who may not readily access services. Help create a stable living environment while adhering to Lookout’s ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients in achieving stable living arrangements
• Develop and implement personalized support plans
• Connect clients with necessary resources and intervene in crises
• Document client interactions and maintain accurate records
• Operate company vehicle as needed
Requirements:
• Relevant Diploma or Certificate; or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of community resources for addiction and mental health
• Current First Aid Level 1 and Class 5 Driver’s License
• Proven ability to work well independently and in teams
• Minimum two years sobriety if applicable
