Take on a critical finance role as an Accounts Payable Specialist for the Metropolitan District in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This full time position focuses on invoice processing and financial management.

The Accounts Payable Clerk will work under the Finance & Administration Manager, performing essential responsibilities like processing invoices, maintaining records, and preparing monthly financial reports. Ideal candidates will possess a Business Administration background along with three years of relevant experience or equivalent training in bookkeeping or accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process invoices in line with Housing Agency policies
• Accurately enter data for cost centers and general ledger accounts
• Generate cheques and maintain accounts payable documentation




• Track and manage employee expense reimbursements
• Ensure compliance with financing policies and WCB reporting

Requirements:
• Business Administration degree focused on Accounting
• Three years of applicable bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in computerized accounts payable systems
• Familiarity with Yardi Property Management Software (ideal)
• Strong understanding of accounting practices
