Join Endzhi-gkinoohmaading Elementary School as a Junior Educational Assistant for a full academic year. Focus on creating supportive educational experiences for students and assisting teachers daily.
This role involves working directly with students alongside a certified Educational Assistant, helping with daily classroom needs, and participating in planning materials and lessons. You will support classroom management and assist both teachers and students in achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare materials for identified students
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
• Aid in implementing classroom management strategies
• Assist in grading non-subjective assignments as needed
• Engage with teachers,
parents, and other stakeholders to enhance learning
Requirements:
• Aged between 15-30 and a registered Band Member of a First Nation
• Must have completed at least Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous experience working with children or youth
• Must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check or in-process evidence
• Not presently enrolled in full time school and underemployed
