You will work within a feminist framework, focusing on anti-oppression and intersectionality, while delivering essential services to survivors in need. The role includes hospital accompaniment, answering crisis line calls, and attending to immediate needs of clients. Collaboration with team members and community organizations is key to ensuring comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis response and emotional support to clients
• Conduct thorough client intakes and needs assessments
• Answer crisis line queries and provide information
• Support survivors at hospital appointments as required
• Assist survivors with understanding their rights
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience
• Six months of recent related experience
• Commitment to feminist and anti-oppressive practices
• Experience supporting sexualized violence survivors
• Successful completion of a background check
