Senior Financial Analyst - Long Term Care
Provide overall financial support in meeting the financial requirements of
operating a long-term care home and independent living apartments.
Key Responsibilities
Support CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and overall
operations including AP/AR, payroll coordination, expense tracking, and month-
end close.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial
records.
Produce timely financial reports for Ministry and Board and dashboards for
stakeholders.
Monitor cash flow, manage bank reconciliations, and track key financial metrics.
Implement internal controls, policy and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Liaise with auditors, and vendors as needed/directed by CFO.
Review contracts for risks and costs. Recommend optimizations where possible
to CFO.
Optimize Dayforce and accounting processes.
Review financial software for consideration to migrate from current FIS and
consideration for integration with Dayforce.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in- Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related
field
CPA designation
2 years minimum in long term care
Solid experience and knowledge in dealing with accounting systems, budgets,
internal controls, business planning, and asset management
Working knowledge and experience with Dayforce preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite, and general accounting
software
Excellent organizational skills
Expert knowledge in finance and accounting procedures and regulations
Strong analytical and leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
Exceptional reporting skills

Working Conditions
Work is generally performed in an office workplace within a long-term care
home, with regular interaction with staff across all departments.
May be required to attend meetings, training sessions, audit and ministry
meetings
Requires the ability to manage confidential, urgent, and sensitive matters with
tact and professionalism.
Must comply with all applicable infection prevention and control practices, health
and safety procedures, and home policies.
