As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the roadmap for innovative shared services at Dialpad. You will report to the Senior Director of Platform Engineering, with the opportunity to work from our Vancouver or Kitchener offices.
Your expertise in backend systems and architectural design will significantly enhance productivity and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document a strategic roadmap for shared services
- Draft explicit architectural designs for team use
- Estimate project requirements for resource allocation
- Oversee the execution of platformization projects efficiently
- Develop features with low defect rates and high testing standards
Requirements:
- Significant experience as a backend software engineer
- BA/BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong debugging skills and familiarity with distributed systems
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
- Expertise with Python and Google Cloud platforms
