Cerner Solution Architect (CCL & Reporting)

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Location: Remote within British Columbia (Candidates must reside in BC; occasional onsite meetings may be required)

Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Cerner Solution Architect with deep expertise in Cerner Millennium, CCL development, and healthcare reporting solutions. This role will support the design, development, enhancement, and optimization of clinical reporting and data solutions within a complex healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership while developing and supporting reports, mPages, data extracts, labels, and requisitions, as well as investigating and resolving production issues.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Cerner Discern Explorer (CCL) solutions.
- Develop and enhance reports, mPages, data extracts, labels, and requisitions.
- Provide technical expertise related to Cerner Millennium architecture, reporting, and data solutions.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Optimize existing reporting, extraction, and application processes.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
- Support ongoing improvements to reporting and information management capabilities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and solution designs.

Required Qualifications

- Extensive experience working within Cerner Millennium environments.
- Advanced expertise in Cerner Command Language (CCL)

- Strong SQL development and database querying skills.
- Deep understanding of Cerner Millennium databases and data structures.
- Broad application development and programming experience.
- Proven experience investigating and resolving complex production issues.
- Experience supporting healthcare and clinical information systems.
- Solid solution design and technical leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working within large-scale healthcare environments.
