Employment Status: Full Time Permanent
Work hours: 8-10 hour shifts - guaranteed 40 hours per week
- shift dependent on freight volumes
Wage for this position is $34.77 per hour
*Responsibilities* :
* Deliver and pick up general TL or LTL freight in a timely and professional manner
* Load and unload trailers as required
* Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete, freight is tag correctly
* Comply with all safety regulations, requirements and company policies
* Complete pre and post trip inspections on all equipment used
* Comfortable with hand held technology for all P&D; workflow requirements
* Maintain assigned schedule
* Routine terminal maintenance and caretaking as required
* Interact with customers ensuring quality customer service
* Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
*Qualifications:*
* Valid Class 1, Tandem-Tandem Driver’s License with a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience required
* Must be able to drive a manual
* Must provide current 5 year Driver’s Abstract
* City driving and highway certified an asset
* Knowledge of the city of Yellowknife and surrounding area
* Strong attention to detail
* Positive, pleasant and professional attitude




* Demonstrated ability to work in a team workplace
* Self motivated with the ability to take own initiative on projects
* Awareness of our Corporate Objectives and Principles
* Team Player – has respect for self and co-workers
* Ability to successfully pass fit for duty testing which includes medical, drug and criminal record check
* Does not require sponsorship to work in Canada
