In this vital role, you'll conduct thorough plans examinations and perform on-site inspections to ensure compliance with municipal regulations. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed plans examinations for new and renovated buildings
• Perform on-site inspections at essential construction stages
• Issue or revoke permits using the City's data management systems
• Coach stakeholders to resolve deficiencies and clarify codes
• Identify safety infractions and recommend necessary repairs
Requirements:
• Journeyman certification with 5 years of experience
• OR: 2-year diploma with 7 years of experience
• OR: Degree in engineering/architecture with 5 years of experience
• Registered Safety Codes Officer with relevant certifications
• Minimum 1 year of practical project experience
