About the Chance The Critical Care Quality Leader under the direction of the Health Services Director and the Medical Chair of Quality for the Department of Critical Care provides quality leadership for services provided within 3A and 5.2 Intensive Care Units (ICUs). The position will work with the co-leadership model and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives. This role promotes fundamental improvements to quality management practices thereby enhancing overall quality performance. This position strives to align with Nova Scotia Health's Strategic Plan and operational goals.
About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Graduate degree in a health specific field and/or equivalent in education and experience
Registered or eligible for registration / licensure in professional organization
Certification in Critical Care or related field is an asset
Minimum five (5) years Critical Care experience
High energy, passion for excellence and process improvement, with a positive attitude
Demonstrate a sense of ownership, commitment and accountability for personal and team success
Proven ability to inspire individuals and teams to achieve goals
Works effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team
Independent,
highly motivated individual capable of working under own initiative and able to problem solve under stressful conditions who is able to identify when additional support and direction from Critical Care leadership is needed
Competencies in other languages are an asset, French preferred

Hours
Long assignment full time position; 75 hours biweekly
Approximately 18 months
Compensation and Benefits Pay Scale Type: Non-Union Band: 5 Hourly Rate: $45.75 - $56-04 Annual Salary: $89,205 - $109,276 Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and travel insurance; long-term disability and life insurance coverage; and a defined benefit pension plan. Additional wellness, development and employee support programs may also be available.
