In this full time role, you report to the Manager and Supervisor of the Medical Device Reprocessing Department. Your responsibilities include detailed technical duties related to sterilization processes, as well as clerical duties and record keeping. The position requires formal education in anatomy, microbiology, and infection control, along with preferred membership in the Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities:



• Perform decontamination and sterilization of medical devices • Conduct function testing and reassembly of surgical supplies • Keep accurate records and related clerical tasks • Operate MDR equipment efficiently • Maintain knowledge of infection control measures

Requirements: • Grade 12 education certificate • Completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program • Experience in an MDR setting is preferred • Knowledge of anatomy and microbiology • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods
