Support Indigenous wellness at The Link as a Wholistic Wellness Helper. Engage in trauma-aware practices and foster connections to culture and identity within your community.
The Link is on the lookout for a dedicated Wholistic Wellness Helper to empower individuals through a culturally informed approach. Working closely with a Knowledge Keeper, you will facilitate wellness activities and provide support that honors First Nations perspectives. This role focuses on building emotional safety and trust while promoting healing and connection to self and community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Knowledge Keeper on cultural activities
• Facilitate both individual and group wellness supports
• Assist in organizing community events and discussions
• Provide strengths-based support to participants
• Model accountability and respectful communication
Requirements:
• Minimum three years’ experience in social service roles
• Understanding of cultural approaches to wellness
• Familiarity with trauma-aware practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including weekends
