Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking aCarrier Planner Analystto join their transportation team in Mississauga, Ontario. This hybrid role (4 days in office) involves applying continuous improvement methodologies to transportation processes, conducting data and process analyses, and supporting carrier contract negotiations.What You'll DoIdentify and action opportunities to improve efficiency and/or service by applying continuous improvement methodologies to Transportation processesAnalyse various topics as assigned (data and process), from the simple to the complex, presenting findings, including key information and issues, as well as potential solutionsDevelop and present Cost / Benefit AnalysesContribute to or lead investigation of business requestsPerform analysis of business requirements to assess cost or feasibility and research solutionsProvide input and recommendations on business processes and/or technical issuesContribute to identification, analysis, improvement and recommendations of solutions (systems and process)Evaluate cost impact of carrier contract offers and support creation/presentation of appropriate negotiations support materialsProvide regular feedback on the quality of the transportation plan, and suggest improvementsAnalyze key performance indicators to identify areas of concern, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to rectify themProvide feedback to the development of delivery template based on road, rail service offering and barge operationsMaintain current knowledge of Canadian transportation acts and regulations,
including transportation of dangerous goodsWhat You BringPost-Secondary education in Business, Logistics or EngineeringAdvanced Microsoft Excel (e.G. Macros, Pivot Tables) and Access (e.G. Macros, Queries, Reporting) skillsFoundational Python programming skills, with experience using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy; willingness to learn more advanced tools (e.G., scikit-learn)Experience building reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or ExcelExceptional analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skillsSkilled at managing multiple tasks, setting and tracking own milestones, and meeting deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skillsStrong business acumenFamiliarity with project management and continuous improvement methodologies is an assetCompensation & BenefitsBroadband salary range: $53,000 – $88,000. Typical hiring range: $53,000 – $70,000.
