The Role
The Lending Services Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration and servicing of corporate credit facilities across various banking units. This role ensures accurate processing, compliance with loan documentation, and timely resolution of operational issues. The analyst contributes to operational excellence, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Loan Administration
Process and maintain loan data for syndicated and direct lending transactions.
Validate financial terms, pricing, and conditions in accordance with loan documentation.
Monitor and manage disbursements, repayments, and interest calculations.
Ensure accurate and timely updates to loan servicing platforms (e.g., Loan IQ).
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Ensures that terms and conditions of authorization and/or loan documentation are being adhered to including pricing, term and amount.
Operational Support
Collaborate with internal teams (Credit, Treasury, Finance) and external stakeholders (Agents, Borrowers) to resolve inquiries and discrepancies.
Assist in preparing reports and reconciliations related to loan activity.
Support the team in managing daily work volumes and meeting service level agreements.
Adhere to operational controls and compliance frameworks, including:
Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework
AML/ATF Global Handbook
Organizational Conduct Guidelines
Escalate exceptions and potential risks to senior team members or management.
Systems & Technical Expertise
Maintain proficiency in loan servicing systems and tools.
Ensure accurate accounting entries and system integrations.
Participate in system testing, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
Dimensions
Supports business units in UK and Ireland
Develop a solid working knowledge of LoanIQ and other platforms as used by the team.
Assists the team in various tasks such as resolution of exception items as well as project related work/assignment.
Ensure accuracy of work and apply due diligence as directed.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
University or College degree in either Finance or Business preferred
2+ years of experience in loan operations or corporate lending services preferred.
Familiarity with syndicated loans, term loans, revolving credit facilities, and asset-based lending.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, ON. Work arrangements are subject to change based on business needs.
Working Hours for the UK Team: 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM (EST)
Work may include Canadian or US or UK statutory holidays
