In this full time role, you'll conduct assessments to understand client needs, then create personalized service plans focused on orientation and mobility. Teaching encompasses various techniques, including the use of electronic travel aids and cane skills. You will also liaise with families and community teams to foster understanding and adjust to vision loss effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and develop service plans
• Teach cane techniques and travel skills
• Provide information on guide dogs and accessible design




• Maintain documentation in accordance with VLRC standards
• Assist in volunteer training and community education
Requirements:
• Graduate from specialized O&M; programs or related education
• Must hold ACVREP COMS certification
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Organized and detail-oriented in all documentation
