Serve as a Military Chaplain for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), providing spiritual and pastoral care across diverse faiths. Your role includes officiating ceremonies and supporting military families through significant life events.
As a member of the CAF, you will foster spiritual and religious support for service members and their families, regardless of belief. Key skills include officiating events, advising on ethical dilemmas, and liaising with community faith leaders. The position allows you to work in various military environments and possibly serve abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional support and guidance to CAF members
• Officiate military ceremonies and special functions
• Advise on spiritual and ethical accommodation issues
• Collaborate with local faith leaders for community support
• Refer service members to qualified help when needed
Requirements:
• Ordained or mandated by a registered Faith Tradition
• Graduate degree in Faith Tradition formation (MDiv or equivalent)
• Minimum two years of leadership experience in Faith Tradition
• Strong ethical and spiritual advisory skills
• Ability to work in diverse military environments
