Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Platform Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise storage technologies and strong software engineering capabilities. The successful candidate will drive storage modernization through automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, API integration, and platform engineering practices while ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable storage services that support TD's evolving business and technology strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Architecture, Security & Innovation Utilize subject matter expertise to evaluate, introduce, and operationalize emerging storage, automation, and cyber resilience technologies.
- Design and implement highly available, secure, resilient, and compliant storage solutions that align with TD security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead automation and engineering initiatives that reduce operational risk, improve reliability, increase efficiency, and enhance service delivery.
- Develop platform engineering capabilities that enable self-service storage consumption and automated lifecycle management.
- Contribute to strategic modernization initiatives, including infrastructure transformation, cyber recovery, immutable storage, and disaster recovery solutions.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

- 7+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience designing, implementing automating, and supporting large-scale storage infrastructure solutions across NAS, SAN, Object Storage, and Data Protection platforms.




- Deep expertise in enterprise storage technologies and architectures, including storage provisioning, virtualization, performance optimization, capacity management, replication, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Strong automation and development skills, with hands‑on experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, and orchestration frameworks to automate storage operations and service delivery.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Git‑based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management.
- Experience designing scalable and resilient storage platforms that enable self‑service capabilities, policy‑driven automation, and reduced operational complexity.
- Strong experience integrating storage platforms with enterprise systems through APIs and orchestration frameworks, enabling automated provisioning, monitoring, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise storage and data protection platforms, including NetApp, Hitachi Vantara, Dell Technologies (PowerScale, PowerMax, Data Domain), Commvault, and related ecosystem technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology domains.
- Experience implementing observability and operational excellence practices using monitoring, telemetry, analytics, and reporting solutions to improve platform reliability and performance.
- Experience with cloud and hybrid cloud storage architectures, including Azure, GCP, and cloud‑native storage services.
