Leah Alexandra Jewelry is looking for a passionate, experienced, and highly organized Retail Store Manager to lead our Toronto team at our Yorkdale Shopping Centre location. This position will be based at our new
Yorkdale Shopping Centre
location, anticipated to open in September. Successful candidates must be available to work mall operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. We’re seeking a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail workplace, is passionate about fashion, jewelry, and elevated customer experience, and has a proven ability to drive operational excellence while developing high-performing teams. This role is ideal for someone who is both people- and process-oriented - balancing sales leadership, team development, inventory management, visual merchandising, and day-to-day retail operations. About the Role
As a Retail Store Manager, you will: Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 6 to 8 Sales Associates and Spark Technicians Oversee all daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, organization, and an elevated customer experience Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage, productivity, and alignment with business needs and payroll budgets Drive sales performance while motivating the team to achieve individual and store goals Monitor KPIs, conversion, sales trends, and team productivity, implementing strategies for growth and improvement Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, leadership, and team culture Build strong client relationships and foster long-term loyalty through exceptional service experiences Oversee inventory accuracy, stock organization, cycle counts, transfers, replenishment, and loss prevention processes Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation consistently reflect the Leah Alexandra brand aesthetic Recruit, hire, onboard,
and train new employees while supporting ongoing development and performance management Conduct regular coaching conversations, team check-ins, and performance reviews to maintain robust morale and accountability Manage store communication, reporting, and follow-ups with head office and leadership teams Support operational problem-solving with a calm, solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment Stay current with jewelry, fashion, styling, and social media trends to keep the store experience fresh and inspiring Support and guide Spark Technicians to ensure consistent service quality and technical standards You will also be trained as a Spark Technician, offering our signature permanent jewelry services. Comfort with fine tools and basic jewelry assembly is required. Key Responsibilities
Lead the team to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and strong sales performance Manage daily operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, task delegation, and execution of store priorities Create weekly staff schedules and manage time-off requests while maintaining operational efficiency Monitor payroll hours and staffing budgets to balance productivity and customer experience Oversee all inventory processes including cycle counts, receiving, transfers, replenishment, accuracy, and loss prevention Collaborate closely with Retail Operations and leadership teams to support company initiatives Maintain high standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and overall store presentation Train, coach,
and support employees through ongoing feedback and development conversations Support hiring and onboarding to ensure strong team culture and performance Manage store communications, inbox inquiries, and operational follow-ups efficiently and professionally Handle customer concerns proactively and professionally to maintain strong client relationships Maintain strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills in a high-volume retail environment Support store launches, events, and broader company initiatives as needed Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced retail environment Minimum 2 years of retail management experience leading teams Fashion, jewelry, or accessories retail experience required Strong leadership, organizational, operational, and problem-solving skills Experience with scheduling, payroll management, reporting, and team development Proven ability to drive sales performance and motivate teams Strong experience in inventory management and maintaining accuracy standards Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Passion for customer experience, jewelry, fashion, and team development Solid understanding of merchandising and premium retail presentation standards Comfortable working with fine tools and basic jewelry assembly Shopify and/or permanent jewelry experience is an asset Self-motivated, adaptable, and solutions-oriented Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (mall hours required) Benefits
