Take charge of day-to-day operations as a Lead Hand in General Maintenance at the University of Calgary. Oversee maintenance and grounds teams while ensuring high standards and safety across campus facilities.
In this full-time role, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor, coordinating maintenance teams and activities to ensure optimal facility conditions. Your leadership will support a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires regular contact with various departments and may involve shift work and call-outs based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direction and coaching to maintenance staff daily
• Inspect maintenance work to ensure safety compliance




• Conduct routine inspections of building areas for maintenance
• Monitor and organize storage areas and equipment
• Address client concerns to enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements:
• High School graduation diploma required
• Experience in lead-hand or operational coordination
• Computer skills for management systems
• Strong customer service orientation
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with positive record
