Step into the role of Cancer Registrar II at Nova Scotia Health, where you will be responsible for critical data management in cancer care. Your expertise will support essential cancer surveillance efforts.

This full time, permanent position places you at the forefront of cancer data analysis and classification. You will gather and interpret a variety of health data, ensuring accuracy for effective cancer treatment planning and research. You will work extensively within the Cancer Registry Information System, contributing to provincial health services.

Key Responsibilities:



• Collect and analyze cancer data from various sources • Classify tumors accurately according to established coding • Update and maintain patient health records consistently • Support quality assurance in cancer treatment data • Engage in research and publication of cancer statistics

Requirements: • Certification in Health Information Management required • At least two years’ experience in a cancer care setting • Understanding of health information practices and regulations • Knowledge of ICD-10 CA/CCI and ICD-O-3 • Experience with Microsoft software suite
