Metro Supply Chain is seeking a dynamic and hands‑on
Leadership Development & Training Specialist
who is passionate about helping employees and leaders reach their full potential through impactful learning experiences. This role is ideal for a learning professional who thrives facilitating both in person and virtually and has a proven ability to design and deliver leadership and soft skills development programs that create lasting behaviour change.
This position is focused primarily on
designing and facilitating instructor‑led leadership and professional development programs . We are looking for someone who excels at creating engaging classroom and virtual learning experiences rather than technical systems training or eLearning development.
As a key member of our Talent & Development team, you will partner with leaders across the organization to identify development needs, create learning solutions, and deliver programs that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and continuously enhance instructor‑led learning programs focused on:
Coaching and feedback
Change management
Workplace effectiveness and professionalism
Create facilitator guides, participant workbooks, learning activities, case studies, assessments, and supporting training materials.
Ensure learning content reflects adult learning principles and promotes practical application in the workplace.
Evaluate program effectiveness and incorporate feedback to continuously improve learning outcomes.
Facilitation & Delivery
Deliver engaging in‑person and virtual workshops to team members and leaders across multiple levels of the organization.
Facilitate discussions, group activities, role plays, and experiential learning exercises that encourage participation and knowledge retention.
Adapt facilitation approaches to meet the needs of diverse audiences and varying levels of leadership experience.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports development and growth.
Business Partnership & Talent Development
Collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and subject matter experts to identify capability gaps and development opportunities.
Recommend practical learning solutions aligned with business objectives and talent priorities.
Support leadership development initiatives, talent programs, and organizational effectiveness projects.
Contribute to the development of learning pathways, succession planning initiatives, and leadership programs.
What You Bring
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating soft skills and leadership development programs.
Strong classroom facilitation skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
Experience creating facilitator‑led training materials, participant guides, learning activities, and workshop resources.
Proven ability to translate business needs into practical, relevant, and engaging learning experiences.
Experience facilitating programs focused on leadership, communication, coaching, customer service, team effectiveness, or professional development.
Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Solid organizational and project management abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a corporate, distribution, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or operations environment.
Certification in adult education, instructional design, coaching, facilitation, or organizational development.
Experience supporting leadership development, talent management, succession planning, or employee engagement initiatives.
