The Registered Practical Nurse provides essential nursing care while collaborating with Registered Nurses and Personal Support Workers. This position includes implementing policies and monitoring residents' health conditions to ensure optimal care. In absence of a Registered Nurse, you will communicate significant changes to physicians, emphasizing the importance of effective teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement nursing procedures based on established policies • Notify physicians of any changes in resident status • Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet care needs • Provide guidance to Personal Support Workers on duties • Participate in team communication for care updates
Requirements: • Solid knowledge of long-term care and rehabilitation nursing • Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario • Familiarity with legislative regulations governing healthcare • Proficient in liaising with health care professionals • Commitment to delivering high-quality care
