This pivotal role, effective September 1, 2026, involves supporting Indigenous student engagement and building capacity among educators. Collaborate closely with First Nations, families, and community partners to develop and facilitate cultural programs that enrich the STEAM curriculum. Your leadership and advocacy will promote inclusivity and respect for Indigenous cultures through various educational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate communication between Indigenous communities and educators
• Advocate for resources and support for Indigenous students
• Organize STEAM-oriented cultural programs and events
• Collaborate with educators to incorporate Indigenous knowledge
• Develop partnerships with local First Nations and community organizations
Requirements:
• Preference for candidates with Indigenous cultural knowledge
• 2 years of post-secondary education in a related field
• Significant experience advocating for Indigenous education
• Excellent organization and project management skills
• Capacity to travel to First Nations communities
