Take the helm as the Director of Community Programs in Yellowknife, guiding public service evolution and enhancing community well-being. Collaborate to meet growing demands.

Reporting to the City Manager, you will lead various community services and recreational programs while managing a team of direct and indirect reports. Your strategic direction will be vital for effective operation, performance measurement, and financial stewardship. Building solid relationships with community partners and Indigenous governments is key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:



• Establish strategic goals for community programs • Manage departmental budgeting and resource allocation • Develop management skills and succession planning processes • Oversee planning for parks and public facilities • Collaborate with community partners and user groups

Requirements: • Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role with relevant experience • Strong understanding of public services and community initiatives • Experience managing budgets and multidisciplinary teams • Knowledge of Indigenous relations and partnerships • Ability to foster accountability and inclusivity
