Become a pivotal part of environmental initiatives as a Communications Officer in Port Hope. Engage with residents, develop strategies, and ensure transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
This role at CNL requires a dedicated Communications Officer to enhance community engagement for the Port Hope Area Initiative. You will be responsible for creating detailed communications materials, addressing stakeholder inquiries, and facilitating dialogues between residents and project teams. Your ability to convey complex information clearly will be essential as you build trust and provide updates on the project’s developments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate updates on CNL projects to diverse audiences • Answer resident inquiries about remediation processes • Liaise with project teams to gather and share information • Develop multimedia communications including social media posts • Track stakeholder interactions and engagement data
Requirements: • University degree/diploma in Communications or related fields • Minimum five years of communications experience • Solid written and oral communication skills • Ability to discuss sensitive topics effectively • Valid Ontario driver’s license
