We are looking for a

Senior

PLC & Automation Engineer

with 5+ years of experience in automation and control systems to join our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C;) Engineering team. You’ll work on custom water technology projects, developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting commissioning activities across North America.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and implement

PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs

for various water technology systems.

Collaborate with

cross-functional project teams

and participate in client meetings to ensure technical alignment and quality deliverables.

Read and interpret

engineering documentation

including P&IDs;, electrical schematics, I/O lists, and network architectures.

Ensure compliance with

customer specifications, project scope, budget, and timelines .

Troubleshoot control systems and support

network design and commissioning

both remotely and on-site.

Maintain and improve

standardized process control documentation

and automation best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

or equivalent (Electrical, Automation, or related field).

More than 5 years of experience as an Automation or PLC Engineer.

Proven experience with

Rockwell

or Schneider

PLC systems.

Experience with

Siemens

or

Emerson

automation platforms is a strong plus.

Robust knowledge of

control systems, network design, and VFDs .

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)

designation or eligibility in Canada is preferred.

Availability to travel to the US.

Programming

ownership . Candidates must have personally designed :

Panel schematics

Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs)

I/O Lists

Loop drawings

Expected Compensation Range 50K-115K The final compensation offered will be

determined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications , in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

Canadian Experience Requirement No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
