Reporting directly to the Comptroller, the Junior Payroll Clerk's primary function involves processing accurate payroll biweekly while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations for 'Nam̱gis First Nation employees. You will also assist with onboarding benefits, prepare necessary documentation, and maintain financial integrity across payroll processes. Attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process payroll every two weeks accurately • Ensure regulatory compliance for payroll submissions • Assist in onboarding for employee benefits • Prepare employee records as required • Handle injury reports and liaise with WorkSafe BC
Requirements: • Basic payroll or accounting experience • Knowledge of payroll compliance matters • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Familiarity with financial software tools • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
