2015 Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview
Experience
C urrent related perioperative nursing experience/training required or successful completion of an accredited program in Operating Room Nursing. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required. CNA Perioperative Nursing Certification preferred. Certification/Licensure/Registration
Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Active participation in qualified associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. CPR training at the Health Care Provider level required. Qualifications and Skills
Requires effective communication skills to facilitate decision-making and problem-solving.
Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values. Ability to apply theoretical knowledge in clinical setting. Ability to function in stressful situation. Ability and willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility. Physical Requirements
Moderate to heavy physical effort required. Constant walking, standing, bending and stooping. Pushing and pulling heavy objects such as beds, wheeled equipment such as microscopes, compressed gas tanks, etc. Stands for sustained periods. This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
