Levitt-Safety is hiring mechanically inclined Service Technicians to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain vehicle fire suppression systems on heavy mobile equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and support equipment across mine sites in Fort McMurray.

Whether your background is heavy equipment, automotive, off-road, electrical, or industrial service, this role offers strong earning potential, a consistent rotation, and the opportunity to build specialized experience in mining safety systems.

What You’ll Do

Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle fire suppression systems

Service safety equipment including extinguishers, alarms, and emergency systems

Complete scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls





Document inspections and repairs using iPad-based reportinglyn

Work directly with customers and site personnel

Maintain service inventory and readiness

Follow all site and company safety procedures

What You Bring

Mechanical experience in heavy equipment, automotive, industrial, or related environments

Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Basic electrical knowledge

Comfortable reading schematics and technical manuals

Experience with fire suppression systems is an asset

Valid driver’s license with clean abstract

Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and site access testing

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

Able to work outdoors and around heavy equipment

Comfortable with long shifts and uneven terrain
