Become an integral part of the Burnaby RCMP Detachment as an Equipment Custodian. Handle, track, and maintain police equipment to support community safety initiatives.
In this clerical and custodial position within the Community Safety Department, you will manage police equipment while ensuring their quality and functionality. Responsibilities include receiving, issuing, and preparing equipment kits, as well as conducting minor repairs. You'll exercise sound judgment while adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the inventory of weapons and equipment
• Conduct inspections and quality assessments
• Prepare detailed records and documentation
• Assemble kits for RCMP officers effectively
• Execute minor repairs on malfunctioning equipment
Requirements:
• Completion of grade 12 with relevant courses
• Familiarity with police equipment safety protocols
• Ability to handle heavy equipment safely
• Proficient in data management software
• BC Driver’s Licence required for the position
Support law enforcement efforts by ensuring that the essential equipment is ready for use at the Burnaby RCMP.
