We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a strong background in CNC machining and quality systems within the automotive and/or aerospace manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will have experience with quality standards, process improvement, supplier quality, customer requirements, and manufacturing feasibility. Key Responsibilities
Ensure manufactured products meet customer specifications and established quality requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related matters. Support and maintain compliance with applicable quality management systems and standards. Evaluate manufacturing processes and process capabilities in collaboration with production teams. Participate in the development and updating of
PFMEA
and other quality documentation. Support
PPAP submissions, MSA, SPC, process capability studies, and validation activities . Review customer drawings and specifications to determine inspection, gauging, and manufacturing feasibility requirements. Establish and maintain quality procedures, standards, and inspection requirements. Investigate production and quality issues and implement appropriate corrective actions. Review and disposition non-conforming materials and customer or supplier-related quality concerns. Approve or reject internal production, supplier components, and customer sample submissions based on established specifications. Participate in supplier selection, supplier audits, and supplier development initiatives.
Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers, production teams, and internal departments. Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality objectives. Assist with training and development of Quality Assurance personnel. Participate in new business evaluations from a quality and manufacturing feasibility perspective. Travel to customer and supplier sites as required. Qualifications & Requirements
3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience
within the automotive and/or aerospace manufacturing industry. Robust
CNC machining background or knowledge . Working knowledge of
ISO/IATF and/or AS9100 quality standards . Experience with
PPAP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, process capability, and corrective action processes . Strong ability to read and interpret
engineering drawings and blueprints . Working knowledge of
GD&T; . Familiarity with
CMM and Formtracer
equipment and inspection processes. Ability to review customer drawings and determine appropriate gauging and inspection requirements. Understanding of manufacturing processes and feasibility assessments. Experience working with suppliers, including supplier quality, audits, or supplier development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams. Willingness and ability to travel to customer and supplier locations as required.
