In this role, you'll support the expansion of repair services at the Kitchener-Waterloo Library of Things. Your experience in repairs, coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit, will enable you to teach others how to repair rather than replace. Your ability to diagnose technical issues while providing excellent customer service will play a vital role in our community's growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities: • Repair small electrical appliances and tools • Consult with customers to identify appliance issues • Use hand tools and soldering equipment for repairs • Conduct tests with electrical equipment for diagnostics • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace
Requirements: • Lived experience of disability • 2+ years in repairs or maintenance • Robust communication skills • Experience mentoring others • Ability to lift 40 lbs safely
