We are seeking an Experienced Cook to enhance our kitchen team in Long Term Care. Your ability to prepare nutritious meals for seniors will be paramount in this role.
As a Cook, working closely with the Dietary Supervisor, you will ensure meals are nutritious, safe, and compliant with health regulations. This role requires a knowledgeable culinary qualified with an understanding of therapeutic diets and the ability to supervise dietary staff effectively. You'll contribute directly to the wellbeing of residents through your dedication to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs • Supervise and mentor Dietary Aides in daily tasks • Maintain high sanitary standards in meal preparation • Support inventory management and supplies ordering • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
Requirements: • Minimum of two years cooking experience in a healthcare setting • Strong understanding of dietary nutrition for elderly • Valid Safety Handlers Certificate required • Skilled in preparing modified texture diets • Proven communication and leadership skills
