Equity Research Associate Intern

How does the role impact the organization? The Equity Capital Markets division, a team of analysts covering approximately 250 companies, has a solid commitment to investment research, investment banking, and institutional sales and trading. Associates play a critical role assisting in all tasks required for the Equity Research Analyst to stay abreast of market events with the end-goal of providing sound investment judgement on particular stocks to clients.Individuals in this role are continuously learning and developing their investment analysis and securities evaluation skills in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who has exemplary writing skills and is an excellent communicator.

What will your role be responsible for?

Work with analysts to conduct thorough analysis of the industries and targeted companies; and

Participate in due diligence requirements analyzing industry and company data, developing and maintaining financial models, writing research, and verbal presentations to equity sales/trading personnel and institutional clients.

To qualify for this opportunity you possess:

An understanding of accounting and financial analysis principles including financial modelling





The ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining an imperative attention to detail;

Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize;

Willingness to work long hours when necessary to meet time-sensitive deadlines; and

An outgoing personality that will fit into a high-performing, team-oriented environment.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Working towards or have an undergraduate/postgraduate degree, preferably in Business, Economics, or Accounting;

Intern experience in equity research, corporate finance or relevant industrypreferred;

Salary Range: $50,000 - 60,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.This posting is for an existing vacancy.
